Project Description

  1. Orange County Public Works On-Call Bridge Design Services

County of Orange awarded NCM a 3-year on-call contract for engineering services for bridge projects in the county. To date, NCM has executed two task orders and is in the process of executing several other tasks. Task 1 deals with the Hamilton-Victoria Bridge over Santa Ana River where substantial damage to the pier walls will be repaired and cathodic protection systems will be added to mitigate corrosion caused by the nearby marine environment. Other repair and maintenance activities on the project include deck treatment, railing repair, abutment wall reconstruction and sidewalk repairs. In Task 2, NCM is developing a County-wide structural asset inventory maintenance database and plan,

including inspections, cost estimating, and integration with County asset management software.

 

  1. Orange County Public Works Quali􀃶 ed Vendor List (QVL) for A-E Road Bridge and Traffic Engineering Services (2017-2021)

The County of Orange selected NCM for the Qualified Vendor List (QVL) in which A-E consultants are selected for various County services. Tasks included general review/support, project development and PS&E for road/bridge/traffic projects. Orange County Public Works (OCPW) has assigned NCM a variety of task orders under the QVL as listed below:

  1. Orange County Public Works On-Call Project Management and Engineering Services (2017-2018)

The County of Orange contracted NCM for general engineering services related to Capital Improvement Programs and Project Management services. Under this contract, NCM completed a variety of tasks in support of ongoing projects and completed unique bridge modifications for a series of bridges spanning the Santa Ana River channel. Tasks included the following:

  1. Orange County Public Works Engineering Services On-Call for the Capistrano/Surfside Inn Pedestrian Overcrossing (2016-2017)

The County of Orange contracted NCM for engineering services in support of ongoing activities related to the existing Capistrano/Surfside Inn Pedestrian Overcrossing in Dana Point, CA. NCM Key Staff had previously completed a capacity study of the existing dilapidated structure in the past and was key to NCM’s role in providing the County with the necessary specialty support services through the tasks listed below:

  • Capistrano/Surfside Inn Pedestrian Overcrossing Temporary Support Analysis
  • Capistrano/Surfside Inn Pedestrian Overcrossing Construction Cost Estimates

As the prime consultant, NCM was responsible for task order execution, managing, overseeing, designing, and delivering the following task orders encompassing a broad spectrum of project types. All 16 task orders have been delivered on schedule and within negotiated budget.
